Director, Quality Management

Reports to: Director of Mental Health Division

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

The Director of Quality Management is responsible for the development and implementation of Clinical compliance and outcome plans for the MH Division. The Quality Management team will provide project support for Request For Proposals (RFP's) and other program proposals.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement Clinical Services Quality Management Plan which tracks and monitors internal and external quality measures and which includes procedures for quality improvement and enhancement.
  • Ensure annual satisfaction surveys in all programs.
  • Analyze data and formulate recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Present data and recommendations in readily accessible manner.
  • Conduct incident report tracking and reporting.
  • Document all incident reports, provide data to programs, and formulate recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Review all incident reports and monitor Division's compliance with MAP policies.
  • Monitor outcome measures, track Performance Based Contracting goals and objectives.
  • Assist Division Directors in development of outcome measures.
  • Develop standards for internal reviews and investigations, monitor external investigations, and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Act as liaison to Human Resources to ensure complete personnel records.
  • Provide literature review, writing and presentation as needed.
  • Provide support to RFP workgroups.
  • Monitor and assist with Division's compliance with all licensing, Rehab Option, and MAP reviews.
  • Annually assess staff training needs.
  • Assist with any job related clerical functions.
  • Ensure that clients are trained in Human Rights.
  • Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates' Human Rights policy.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.
  • Strictly follow all agency Performance Standards.

Qualification/Education/Experience/Personal Characteristics:

  1. MA/MS degree in a clinical field plus 3yrs supervisory experience.
  2. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and ability to use good judgment.
  4. Ability to read English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the programs as assigned.
  5. Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  6. Must have basic knowledge of computers.
  7. Must have sensitivity to the needs of the population.
  8. High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  9. Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models.

Job Classification: Director of Quality Management (continued)

  1. Must hold a valid driver's license. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
