Director of Residential Services
Reports to: Senior Vice President
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary :
The DD Director of Residential Services is responsible for the successful administration and management of the clinical, budgetary and business operations of the Development Disabilities Division.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement philosophy of service delivery for DD residential services.
- Initiate and guide program development.
- Organize staff and staffing functions to provide appropriate and efficient client contact, services and satisfaction.
- Manage, streamline or eliminate administrative processes and requirements in consultation with affiliated senior managers or designees including but not limited to Business Office, Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Housing, and Maintenance functions.
- Develop, manage and administer budget for division; analyze expenditures and recommend adjustments.
- Act as a liaison between DD residential services, DMR, and other service providers and community resources
- Coordinate and oversee all referrals to the division.
- Ensure quality management systems throughout the division.
- Ensure that multi-source performance evaluations are conducted for all employees in division.
- Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
- Ensure health and safety of clients and staff through compliance with agency policies, OSHA and other safety standards.
- Ensure that the clinical integrity of client programs and services are maintained.
- Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates' Human Rights policies.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.
- Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately.

Qualification/Education/Experience/Personal Characteristics:
- Master's degree (M.A.) in social services or other related field; or six to ten years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must have sensitivity to the needs of the population.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
- Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
Must hold a valid drivers' license. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients. |
